With London’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show just last week, floral mania is very much on our minds. Inspiration was everywhere from the architectural gardens to beautiful blooming peonies, not to mention the stunning window displays decorating Chelsea’s favourite shops.
To celebrate we’re excited to announce that we’re introducing a floral up-do service at our Kensington salon this summer. With real flowers seen in the model’s hair at Diane Von Furstenberg’s Spring Summer catwalk this trend is set to transition through to Autumn/Winter 2016 as demonstrated by Rodarte incorporating winter blooms into their gorgeous hair jewels.
Whether you’re heading to Ascot, festivals, garden parties, summer weddings or a day at the races these up-dos will be the perfect addition to your look.
Choose from three hair styles at our Old Brompton Road salon reminiscent of the English countryside including the Berkshire for a braided bun, romantic waves with The Hampshire or a fishtail braid with The Wiltshire.
Clients have the option of bringing their own flowers or the salon is able to provide these at an extra cost. If you’d like a bespoke headdress or floral comb, this can be ordered from Heavenly Headdress in advance.
If you’re seeking inspiration for your floral accessories we’ve selected our top celeb styles to guide you. Who could forget Selena Gomez’s stunning white orchids adoring her up-do at last year’s Met Gala? Not to mention Rihanna seen last month in jewelled floral hair clips with her slicked back hair reveal this trend is more versatile than ever. Why not try orchids in your hair like Selena with our Berkshire up-do?
Beyonce in Coldplay’s music video, ‘Hymm for the Weekend’ February 2015, wearing a metal floral crown certainly made a statement!
Singer Lana del Rey is known for her love of floral crowns and has worn them numerous times whilst performing and in music videos. This bouncy blowdry compliments the colourful headdress perfectly!
We love this timeless image of Jane Shrimpton photographed in 1965 for Vogue. The yellow flowers contrast so beautifully with Shrimpton’s hair colour.
Karile Kloss shows that there are no limits to the size of your floral crown! Kloss is photographed here by Mario Testino in a Dolce & Gabbana dress and floral crown for Vogue 2012.
